OSGeo-Live 5.0 released - the Open Source Geospatial DVD

OSGeo-Live Desktop
Version 5.0 of the OSGeo-Live GIS software collection has been released.
OSGeo-Live is a self-contained bootable DVD, USB flash drive and Virtual Machine based upon Ubuntu Linux that is pre-configured with a wide variety of robust open source geospatial software.
The applications can be trialled without installing anything on your computer, simply by booting the computer from the DVD or USB drive.
A DVD or USB of OSGeo-Live is being distributed to every delegate at the upcoming international conference for Free and Open Source Software, http://2011.foss4g.org.

Don't you know other than http download sources for OSgeo-Live 5? It looks like down :-( And I couldn't find torrents with 5 :-((( only with 4.5

Cameron & OSGeo-Live team - thanks for doing this. I was standing there looking at the barrier to entry (finding, evaluating, and building the whole stack) and steeling myself to just do it. Then I saw an RSS feed from FOSS4G that suggested I could just download and VM the whole pile using OSGeo. nice!

http downloads should work for osgeo-live. I don't think Alex Mandel set up a torrents download for this release. If torrents is important to you, you could request one from our packager on our email list: http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/live-demo
